Mrs. Mary Ruth Maples, age 93, of Powder Springs, passed away at her residence on Friday, January 13, 2017. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Harry N. Yarnell and Martha E. King Yarnell.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William F. Maples Sr.; her brothers and sisters, Harry N. Yarnell, Jr., Agnes Mikels, Betty Hunley, Hazel Braswell, and Ruby Krones.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie (William) Cooling; her son, William Frank (Joni) Maples Jr.; her grandchildren, Kathleen (Michael) Samnik, Mary Kay (Justin) Brewton, Robert Cooling, William (Jennifer) Cooling and Elizabeth (Greg) Gregory; and great grandchildren, Michael, Andrew and Jacob Samnik, Deedson, Carson Hitt, Tyler Cooling and Adrianna Cooling; and her brother, Frank Yarnell.
Serving as Pallbearers will be, Billy Cooling, Robert Cooling, Michael Samnik, Andrew Samnik, Carson Hitt and Jacob Samnik .
