ALEX ASH, 62, PASSES MONDAY

Funeral services for Alex Ash, 62, who passed away November 27 in the Cedarville hospital were held Thursday afternoon with the Rev. (unreadable) Olson of the Federated church of Alturas officiating.

Alexander Charles Ash was born in Colverswale, Canby, October 10, 1899 to Charles and Anna Ash. He was the third of five boys, three of whom survive, Arthur Ash of Alturas, Whewell Ash of Reno, and Robert Ash of Sacramento. In
1926 he was married to Dorothy Rinehart of Cedarville and to them was born a daughter, Dixie Leventon of (unreadable), a son Gordon Ash of Cedarville, both of whom survive.

In 1927 Alex and his wife moved to Cedarville where he opened the (unreadable) Garage which he has operated since that time. Between 1941 and (unreadable) he also ran a small ranch (unreadable) of Cedarville. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Cedarville and was well known in Surprise Valley.
