Marleana Ann Massey, 29, of Wapello, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Mrs. Massey was born Jan. 5, 1978, in Muscatine, the daughter of Phillip and Dretha Parkhurst Watson. She married Jason Lester Massey Feb. 28, 2004, in Crawfordsville, Iowa.

She grew up in Wapello, attending Wapello Elementary and High School. She graduated from Muscatine High School. She had been a homemaker, providing for her boys.

She attended Grandview Community Bible Church and belonged to home school groups. She enjoyed quilting, camping and playing dominos. She centered her life around her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jason; five boys, Zachary Taylor Massey, Reese Michael Christy, Aidan David Christy, Ethan Merle Massey and Marty Leroy Massey; her parents, Phillip and Dretha Watson of Wapello; her brother, Shannon Watson, of Mt. Pleasant; her in-laws, Michael E. and Shirley Ann Massey of Crawfordsville; her grandmothers, Lola Mae Parkhurst of Wapello and Phyllis K. Watson of Tulsa, Okla.; her grandparents-in-law, Edward S. and Marjorie Massey of Columbus Junction and Glen and Ramona VonSprechen of Maquoketa; and her nephew, Jacob Watson, of Waynesville, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Shawn Ray Watson; and her grandfathers.
