Albert Bond Obituary

DECATUR - Albert Bond, 53, of Decatur departed this life on Sunday, October 24, 2004 at 10:52 A.M. at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Service of Remembrance will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Main Street Church of the Living God with Overseer Thomas Walker, officiating. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Main Street Church of the Living God. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery. Albert was born June 28, 1951 in Brownsville, TN. He was a son of Jonas and Annie Currie Bond. He was educated in the Decatur School Systems. He united with the love of his life the former Mary Reed in January 28, 1968. Albert was an employee at Intermet Wagners Casting Company for over 20 years. He was as member of the Main Street Church of the Living God where he served as a church usher. He was a very outgoing and outspoken person. He truly enjoyed his family, dressing up and he made sure his car would always sparkle and shine. He leaves to treasure many joyous memories: his loving wife, Mary Bond of Decatur; a son, Kevin Bond of Decatur; daughters: Melissa "Missy" Sperry and Cindy Holman both of Decatur, Sonya ( Damon) Bond and Tiffany (Kamaria) Bond both of Springfield; brothers: James (Mary) Bond and Charlie T. (Juanita) Bond both of Decatur; sisters: Mary (George) Ross of Los Angeles, CA., Georgia Green and Diane Bond both of Decatur; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, special nephew, Lamon Bond of Decatur, sister-in-law Linnie Rose Bond of Augusta, GA, special friends, James P. Smith and Bob Jarrett and a host other aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters, and one grandson Marcus Lofton. The family would like to give special thanks to his daughter, Missy Sperry, and all of the family members and friends who helped care for our loved one during his illness.
