He was the son of Glenn Reynolds, Sheriff of Gila County, Arizona Territory in the 1880's. Glenn was killed when he and his deputy, "Hunkydory" Holmes, were transporting the Apache Kid and other prisoners from Globe to Florence, Arizona Territory.
