Whether at home, work, church, or in the community, her warm and welcoming presence was often subdued but radiated with dignity, laughter, and grace. Home and family remained the core of her life as she enjoyed cooking for family gatherings as she proudly watched her living legacy grow and thrive. Most importantly, she is remembered as a women of deep faith with the heart of a Christian servant as she used her many talents to leave an indelible mark on the world.
Born on July 22, 1939, she was the eldest child of Orpha G. (Snyder) Nipple, of Mount Pleasant Mills and the late Raymond W. Nipple. She was eventually joined by four siblings, her late sister Connie R. Harnum, her late brother Robert N. Nipple, brother Ronald H. Nipple and wife Connie of Liverpool, and brother Ralph R. Nipple and wife Shirley of Liverpool.
From the time of her youth she completed chores on the family farm, and discovered her life-long passions for music, gardening, cooking and sewing. She graduated from Middleburg Joint High School in 1956. She began work at Hayes Stahl Lumber in 1955 as an administrative assistant and remained in that role for 33 years. Not long after marriage on June 11, 1960, she and her husband Harold purchased Meiserville Milling Company where they passionately served the local farming community until their retirement just a few short years ago. Along the way, she found time to provide auditing services for Chapman Township.
Anna Mary was a life long member of St. Paul (Leininger's) Lutheran Church where she took a special pride in providing 60 years of beautiful music on the organ and piano. She also spent time as choir director and spent 50 years as a member of the ELCA of Women. The echoes of her keyboard and dedicated service will forever remain amongst the stained glass and well-worn pews.
A talented seamstress with a keen eye for precision and detail, her skillful hands produced beautiful works of art ranging from formal gowns to tailored suits. She humbly passed along her skills and knowledge as a 4-H sewing leader for more than two decades, as well as, serving and supporting the 4-H Foundation.
As her mortal life was fading, she reflected upon her greatest pride and enduring accomplishment, her family. She and Harold raised four kind, caring, and talented women as a reflection of their faith and commitment to living life with humility and with conviction. In time, they welcomed four sons-in-law who they loved and cared for as their own, and seven grandchildren whom they adored with special pride and purpose.
In addition to her husband and mother, Anna Mary is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law, Susan R. and Craig Womer, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Reva M. and Michael Herrold, of Selinsgrove, Luci A. and John Hartman, of Turbotville, and Linda K. and Michael Wagner, of Harleysville; seven grandchildren, Kelvin M.
