WILLIAM THOMPSON DIES SATURDAY IN SILVER CROSS

William M. Thompson, 67, who had spent practically his entire life in Dwight, passed away at 7:10 p.m. Saturday evening in the Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet. He had been in poor health since September.

The body was taken to the Von Qualen Funeral Home in Dwight where funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Clarence B. Gould, pastor of the Dwight Congregational Church. Interment followed in Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Sigurd Jensen played organ selections at the funeral home before and after the service.

Pall bearers were Hugh Thompson, Dr. L. H. Neff, Oscar Jensen, Norman Johnston, Arnold Hahn and Francis Metroz.

All the business houses in Dwight closed for one hour during the final rites in respect to Mr. Thompson, who had been engaged in the plumbing business here for many years.

The decedent was the son of the late Hugh and Frances Ketcham Thompson, and was born in Dwight January 18, 1883. He was married to the former Louise Shearer, who survives, in Joliet on December 26, 1918.

Surviving along with his wife, are one sister, Mary McGregor, of Springfield, and a brother, Harold Thompson, of Chico, Calif.
