Talmage Palmer is one of very few men who ever lived through being drug by a horse. In 1928, he roped a calf, stepped off the horse, but the horse would't hold. In trying to get his rope off the calf, the loop tangled around his wrist and he was drug one and 1/2 miles across a creek three times. When he came to, he pulled himself across the saddle and the horse took him home. All he had on was his shirt collar and boot tops.
