He was the son of the late Lloyd and Lizzie Howell Aldridge. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Aldridge; seven brothers, and one sister. He worked in the Shipping Department at Dayco and retired after 33 years service.
He is survived by a daughter, Julie Aldridge Davis of Waynesville; stepdaughter, Paula Fann, of Weaverville; two sons, Jonny Aldridge of Canton and Joey Aldridge of Atlanta; one stepson, Terry Stines, of Alabama; one sister, Laura Ledford; one brother, Earl Aldridge of Spruce Pine.
