Lora Aldridge Ledford, age 79, of Spruce Pine, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Center in Spruce Pine.
Born on November 15, 1933 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lizzie Aldridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ted Ledford, a son, Gary Ledford, a grandson, Josh Ledford and 7 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Ledford was an avid rockhound, enjoyed gardening and most of all cooking and caring for her family.
Mrs. Lora Ledford is survived by her sons; Terry and Ted Ledford, grandsons; Ryan and Phillip Ledford, a brother; Earl Aldridge and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Lora Ledford will be conducted on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Yellow Mountain Cemetery.
