Grady Whitehead, age 88, of Tallassee, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016.
He was a member of Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by, parents Jeff and Sinda Whitehead; brothers, Clayton, Ben, Arthur, and Archie Whitehead; sisters, Cory Whitehead, Pearl Ridin, and Ruth Payne, plus several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Betty Whitehead, son and daughter-in- law, Mike and Pam Whitehead, daughter, Sylvia Whitehead and boyfriend Avery Hughes; grandchildren, April Bledesoe, Ashley Whitehead, Jeff and Katie Whitehead, and Jesse Whetsell; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Reba Whitehead and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Beecher Whitehead, Rev. Dennis Robinson and Rev. Steve Whitehead officiating. Graveside service and interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, (865) 982-6041.
