Jennie Francis Burns Peterson was born 24 Aug 1891 in Elberton, Whitman County, Washington to Robert Edward Burns (1865-1938) and Artie Mecie Hume Burns (1866-1939). Her parents were married on 12 Jan 1888 in Steptoe Butte, Whitman County, Washington.

She was the third born out of 9 other siblings: Ernest Raymond 1888-1964)Perry Fountain (1890-1974) World War II Veteran, Lester Lorenszo (1892-1970) World War I Veteran, Millie Caroline (1894-1951), Robert Franklin (1896-1983), Artie Beulah (1898-1976), Virgil Devine (1901-1979), Clara Belle (1903-1975) & Mary Pauline (1907-1988).

In 1900, age 9, she and her family lived in Steptoe, Whitman, Washington.

On 19 Jul 1909, she married Ludwig Albert Peterson (1886-1971) in Seattle, King County, Washington. They had six children: Edna Mabel (1910-1998), Louis A, a World War II Veteran (1913-19580; Evelyn May (1910-2008), Arthur James (1921-2004), Floyd L (1922-1976) & Wilbur born 1930.

In 1910, age 18, Jennie, Ludwig and her brother Lester lived on 26th Avenue South in Seattle, King County, Washington where Ludwig worked as a splicer for a cable car company and Lester worked as an oiler for the rail road.

In 1913, age 21, they lived on 2013 Dearborn, Seattle where her husband, Ludwig worked as a clerk for Western Union Telegraph Company.

On 5 Jun 1917, Ludwig registered for the draft for World War I. He was employed as a store keeper for Western Union at Railway Express Building. He was medium hieght and build with brown eyes and hair. They lived in Seattle.

On 15 Jan 1920, age 28, she and her family lived in Fall City next to George Washington Burns family and Ludwig worked as a machinist in a machine shop.

On 11 Apr 1930, age 38, they lived on the Old Fall City Road. Their home was valued at $2000 and Ludwig was employed as a mechanic at an auto garage.

In 1935, age 43, the family lived at 4th & Old Fall City Road.

In Jan 1938, age 47, she was in a Five Generation family photo, including Edna Peterson Osborne, Louise Osborne, Sarah Kellison Hume & Mecie Hume Burns at the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Robert & Mecie Burns.

On 1 Apr 1940, age 48, they live at 4th & Old Fall City Road in a home worth $3000. Ludwig worked 60 hours a week as a owner / mechanic at his auto garage and their son, Lewis worked 25 hours a week as an auto attendant.

In 1946, age 54, she was in a family reunion photo including all the children of Robert & Mecie Burns.
