Lucy Wade (Nowlin) McEntire and her husband John Oliver McEntire, Jr. raised their children in Marion Co., Arkansas. A few years after John Jr.'s death, Lucy became ill and moved to Clay Co., Missouri ABT the fall of 1953, to be nearer 5 of her 10 children, all of whom had migrated to Clay Co. earlier.

Lucy lived the last 2 1/2 years with 3 of those 5 children, and their spouses and families.
