Myrtle A. Whitlock Kubisek, 102, of Danbury died December 15. She was the wife of the late Paul Kubisek. She was born in Newtown, the daughter of the late Myrtle Whitlock Waters and William Whitlock.
She worked at JK’s in Danbury for more than 30 years. Mrs. Kubisek enjoyed playing setback, and she loved spending birthdays and holidays with family.
Her children and their spouses, Bernard and Barbara Kubisek, Raymond and Judy Kubisek, Dennis Kubisek, Thomas Kubisek, Loretta and John McLaughlin, and Janet and William Reynolds; her grandchildren, Bruce Kubisek, Cathy McLaughlin, Brian Kubisek, Kari Reynolds, William Reynolds, Jr, Becky Marciano, Lynn Kubisek, Thomas “T.J.” Kronan; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Kubisek. Her husband, Paul Kubisek, Jr; her siblings, Wallace Whitlock, William Whitlock, Wesley Whitlock, and Muriel Williams; and her granddaughter Jill Miller predeceased her.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11:45 am on Tuesday, December 20, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at noon, with the Reverend Allen German, pastor of St Paul Lutheran Church, Danbury, officiating. Burial will then be in Wooster Cemetery, 20 Ellsworth Avenue, Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs Kubisek’s memory may be made to Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury CT 06810; or to St Paul Lutheran Church, 44 Spring Street, Danbury CT 06810.
