Muriel A. Williams, 95, of Danbury died Friday, October 17, 2014 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles "Cy" Williams, who predeceased her in 2005. Muriel was born in Newtown on August 15, 1919 to the late William and Myrtle (Gilbert) Whitlock and had been a Danbury resident since the age of 10.

She attended Danbury High School and worked at the Bridgeport Brass Co. during WWII manufacturing shell casings. She also worked at Mallory Hat Company in Danbury, and retired from Kimberly Clark Corp. in New Milford in 1980 after 24 years of service.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Danbury.Besides her husband, Muriel was predeceased by three brothers: William Whitlock, Wesley Whitlock and Wallace Whitlock.She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Kubisek of Danbury, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families who knew her as "Aunt Midge."

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at 11am at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10am until the time of the service.
