ALVA MAE WINTON, 93, of Bushnell, Florida, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at Webster, FL. She was born November 17, 1915 in Blakely, Georgia. She was a homemaker. She was a member of York Street Church of God, worked 25 years with the Girl Scouts and Brownies, and loved gardening and canning.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Jack) Overturff of Bushnell, sons, Robert (Irene) Winton of Bushnell, Charles (Doris) Winton of Franklin, IN, 15 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 9 great great-grandchildren, and her sister,Girtha Summerall of Ft. Myers. Preceded in death by her husband Robert Waymon Winton and her parents Oscar and Mary Nolen.
Visitation will be held at the Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 11:00 - 12:00 pm.
Services will follow at 12:00 pm, Pastor Daniel Kellum will preside.
Interment will follow at TEMA Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
