A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016, at East Lawn Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow. Pastor Dan Jassman will officiate.
Terry was born Dec. 16, 1949, in Streator, the son of Benjamin and Ruth Seggerman Jording.
He attended Gridley High School and after graduation he proudly joined the Army. He served during the Vietnam War. After his time in the military, he worked at the Eureka Company for 28 years before the company closed their doors. He then worked for Wal-Mart until he retired. Terry enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He also took great joy in caring for and spending time with his dog, Chip.
He is survived in death by his children, Timothy Jording, Jeffrey (Rachel) Jording, Jay (Cheryl Farris) Jording and Kristin (Alex) McNamee; two grandchildren, Kayden and Addisen Jording; siblings Virginia (Jerry) Lovins, Mary Jording, Helen Wright, Bastrop, Beverly Scheer, Evelyn (Mike) Ebert, Donald (Gloria) Jording and Cynthia Juarez.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Robert Jording and Dorothy Roth.
His family would like to extend a great deal of gratitude to the staff, nurses and doctors at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center and Advocate BroMenn Medical Center for the excellent care given to Terry and his family over the past year.
