Funeral services for Sister M. Adrian Ganey, native of Auburn, who died late Friday afternoon in
St. Joseph's Hospital, Elmira, were held at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning in the chapel of the
Motherhouse at Pittsford, near Rochester. A solemn high Mass of requiem was sung by a nephew, Rev. John Ganey of Newark, assisted by the following priests: Rev. John B. Crowley of Auburn, deacon; Rev. Father Luddy of Rochester, sub-deacon; Rev. William Byrne of Ithaca, master of ceremonies; Rev. James Lane of Newark and Rev. John Guy of Montezuma, acolytes; Rev. Joseph Curtin, thurifer. Archbishop Thomas F. Hickey was in the sanctuary. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester.
Sister Adrian taught at St. Mary's School for a number of years and was beloved by her pupils and esteemed by all who knew her. A delegation from St. Mary's convent, headed by Sister Helen Marie, principal of the school, attended the funeral. St. Mary's School in Clark Street
was closed Monday because of the funeral. Sister M. Adrian leaves several nieces and nephews in Auburn.
