Roger S. Kolb, 94, of Bloomington, formerly of Morton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

He was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Lafayette, Ind., to Harold G. and Elsie (Stockton) Kolb. He married Louise Eyrse on May 7, 1955, in Pekin. She preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Elsie Kolb in 2015; one brother, Harold; and one sister, Patsy.

Surviving are one son, Roger II (Donna) Kolb of Willowbrook, Ill.; one daughter, Laura (Chuck) Bowen of Pekin; four grandchildren, Roger Kolb III, John Kolb, AJ Bowen and Rachel (Bill) Murphy; and one great-granddaughter, Sunshine Bowen.

Roger was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, having served during World War II as a flight engineer on a B29 in the Pacific Theatre.

He worked for 35 years for Caterpillar Inc., retiring in 1984 as a manager of Engineering Services - Industrial Division.

Burial of the cremated remains will be in Springdale Cemetery.
