Byron F. Maxwell, 69, resident of Albany since 1938, died Monday, January 5, 1981 of apparent heart failure at this ranch near Moran. Funeral services sere held, January 8, at Matthews memorial presbyterian. Burial was in the Albany Cemetery.

He was born August 11, 1911 at Wayland in Stephens County, son of the late John
Maxwell and Elizabeth Fambro Maxwell. His father was a native of Breckenridge
and his mother was born in Crokett County.

He married Alma Arendt January 1, 1938 in Abilene. He was a rancher and was employed by Marshall R. Young for 17 years. He was a member of the Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church.
