Booneville, Miss., March 20. Funeral services for Pat Gullett, 38, were held this afternoon from the Methodist Church with the Rev. J. V. Bennett officiating. He died yesterday.
Dec. 30, Mr. Gullett scaled one of the steel supports of the city water tank to adjust some electric wires for the fire department siren. A live wire jarred his hold, and he was hurled 65 feet to the ground below. Since that time, he has been in a critical condition at the Northeast Mississippi Hospital.
Mr. Gullett was a Master Mason and a member of the American Legion, having served for 11 months with the U. S. Navy of the coast of Rhode Island during the World War. He received his schooling in Booneville, completed a course in aviation at the Curtiss-Wright field in Memphis, and became a master mechanic with Milton Motor Company in Booneville. He was an employe of the T.A. Cook Motor Co., until four years ago when he and L. Sutherland formed a partnership.
Mr. Gullett is survived by his wife, a daughter, Bertha Neil, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Gullett, a sister, Mrs. Sam Stoop, all of Booneville, and two brothers, True, of Danville, Va., and June W. of Meridian.
