Minnie was the daughter of James Hall and Sarah Adams. She married Charles Cross on 28 June 1890 in Carroll, Carroll, Iowa. They were the parents of Clifford (1892) and Leslie.

COON RAPIDS ENTERPRISE - Fri, Nov 15, 1895 - On last Saturday evening the many friends of Mrs Charles Cross were very much pained to learn of the fatal termination of her illness, which was not thought to be especially dangerous and all were in hopes of seeing her well again even though she had been an invalid for almost two years, during which time she had resided with her parents in order that her mother would be able to nurse her....

She died of an affliction that is somewhat rare, that of rheumatism which worked on the brain, causing violent pains at times in her head but until the day previous to her death it was not considered necessarily dangerous. On Saturday afternoon she began to sink rapidly finally expiring at 6.

The deceased was a daughter of Mr and Mrs J.W. Hall, one of the oldest and most respected families of Coon Rapids and a sister of Mrs W.H. Ash?.

The funeral services were conducted at the Christina church last Sunday at 11 after which the remains were interred in the Coon Rapids cemetery.
