Shirley R. Noblitt, 80 of Bowling Green, died unexpectedly October 16, 2016 while visiting a niece in Terre Haute. She was born September 26, 1936 in Harrison Twp. Clay County, the daughter of James "Brownie" Michael and Goldie Love Michael. She was born, one of 12 siblings of this family, and she was the last one to pass away. She graduated from Clay City High School, Class of 1954. On April 24, 1968, she was united in marriage to William Noblitt. He preceded her in death, on July 2, 2016.

Shirley was a member of the Abundant Life Worship Center in Clay City and she and Bill often hosted the church family at their home in Bowling Green, which they named "Whispering Pines". Being with church friends and being with family was very important to Shirley and was time treasured. She was known for making "the BEST noodles" around, and she will be greatly missed.
