Attending BYU, he joined the Provo National Guard and on Pearl Harbor Day his unit was on a troop ship headed for the Philippines. Becoming a life-time of service to his fellow Veterans and his fellow man, he joined the local American Legion post holding many leadership positions throughout the years, which culminated in his election to Utah State Commander.
Paul married Cuba Michie in 1950. He owned and operated a service station, taxi service, worked for Meadow Gold Dairies as a route salesman and completed his working career at Pacific States Pipe Plant. He and Cuba served as tour directors for the Spanish Fork Senior Citizen Center for 15 years, visiting every island in the Caribbean, 23 countries and every State in the Union.
Survived by his four children, nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, his wife, parents, three sisters D Pat, Musa, and Pauline and his wife, Cuba predeceased Paul.
Services were held on December 12, 2006.
