Leslie Cassell, age 92, of Moorefield, WV passed away on
Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg,
WV. Born on May 21, 1924 in Cass, WV, he was the son of the late John B.
Cassell and Edith Tallman Cassell Stalnaker. Mr. Cassell was a graduate of the
Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, IL. He retired from American Woodmark
Corporation, where he worked in maintenance from 1957 to 1991.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle
Cassell. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Francis Wratchford Cassell; a son,
David L. Cassell; a daughter, Teresa Cassell Ely and husband, Gregory; a
step-son, Nick Heavner and wife, Christine, a step-daughter, Diane Ratliff and
husband, Gary, all of Moorefield, WV; one sister, Darlene Stalnaker Lyons of
Petersburg, WV; one brother, Arnold Cassell of Lakeland, FL; three
grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at by Pastors Russell and Lucy Webster and Pastor Danny Sterns at Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Burial followed at Olivet Cemetery.
