She was the wife of William S. Ressler.
Born in Reading on September 24, 1921, a daughter of the late John and Elsie (Hoffman) VanArt.
She was a 1940 graduate of Wernersville High School.
She was the owner and operator of Ruth's Beauty Shop in Wernersville for 20 years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Connie R. widow of Jerry Heckman,Florida; a son, William L. Ressler husband of Diane, Robesonia; a sister, Mae Sookiasian, Manheim; three grandchildren, Todd Heckman, Kim Ressler, and B.J. Ressler; and five great grandchildren, Scott , Joshua, & Brianna Heckman, and Samuel & Tyler Ressler.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Melvin VanArt.
