He was born in Stevens, and was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Brumbach) Hehnly. He acquired and ran the family Masonry business for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and watching his sons and grandsons race micro sprint cars.
Surviving are his three sons: Heath (Erika Myers), Jason (Amisha Gillis) and Colton; his four grandsons: Jas, Kyle, Lucas and Elijah; his two brothers, Larry and Ronald and his three sisters Doris McNally, Barb Landis and Deborah Trout. Rodney was predeceased by his grandson, Adam.
A Remembrance Memorial will be held on Friday, November 25th from 5PM to 9 PM at the Reamstown Fire Hall. A private burial will be held, at a later date, in Mellinger's Cemetery, Schoeneck.
