He was born January 5, 1923, in Corning, the son of Charles B. and Mary (Kusnyir) Kosty.
A World War II Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Alex was a graduate of Corning Free Academy and the University of Tennessee.
Alex retired from Corning Inc. and was the Founder of St. Charles Country Club.
He was predeceased by his siblings: Charles Kosty, Mary Welzel, Susan Gonta, Catherine Bianco, George Kosty, John Kosty, Michael Kosty, Joseph Kosty, Sister Robert Mary Kosty SJ, and Andrew Kosty.
He is survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
Private burial services will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.
