Mrs. Sarah Jane Courson, 94, of Curllsville, widow of Israel Courson, died at 4:45 am Wednesday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Whitmer, in Emlenton. Mrs. Courson was born December 5, 1858, in Curllsville, Clarion county, a daughter of the late Valentine and Mary Myers. She was married on January 5, 1875, to Israel Courson, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Courson lived in Curllsville until her husband's death, after which she made her home with a sister, Mrs. Fanny Berg, in Ellwood City. She was a member of the Licking Presbyterian church. Survivors include: Three sons, Calvin of Ellwood Cilty, Curtis of Curllsville, and David M. of Clarion; two daughters, Mrs. Fanny Berg of Elwood City and Mrs. Amanda Whitmer of Emlenton; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Bashline of Rimersburg and Mrs. Effie Snyder of Curllsville; two brothers, F. M. Myers and Ambrose Myers of Sligo; thirteen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren. The body was removed to the Fred Jenkins funeral home in Clarion.
