Henry B. Soward, Jr., 83, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 at his home after a long illness. He was born on October 5, 1923 in Old Gulf, Texas to Henry Bryan Soward, Sr. and Willie Mae Anderson Soward.
He graduated from Boling High School, attended East Texas Baptist College and retired as a Senior Operator from Schlumberger after 36 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Soward of Corpus Christi; one son, David Bryan Soward of Corpus Christi; four daughters, Rhonda J. (Steve) Watzlavick of Victoria, Texas, Jolene Howden of Bay City, Michigan, Patricia (Jimmy) Moulds and Debbie Bendele all of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Velda Jean Dotson of Victoria, Vina Lee Crawley of Port Lavaca, Texas and Winona Joyce Klacman of Victoria; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandson.
Visitation and funeral services conducted by Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Burial at Memory Gardens.
