During the next 30 years they traveled to much of the world including Japan, Peru, Colombia, Europe and most of the US. Evie was always busy at home with a "project" - she sewed clothes and curtains, canned tomatoes, bowled, and raked leaves. She always loved a good Fall leaf burning. Bob even taught her how to snow ski - and they often flew out west to go skiing.
Evie was always happy near the ocean. She and Bob bought a condo in Hawaii where they visited for many years.
In 1986 Bob retired and they moved to Punta Gorda, Florida. Bob bought a sailboat and Evie surprised everyone by loving to sail, even though she never learned to swim. After Bob died in 1988 Evie remained in PGI volunteering at the local hospital for many years - but in 2011 Evie moved to Georgia to be near her great grandsons.
Evie passed away in July 2016 from breast cancer and was buried in Amana near Bob and her parents.
