He was proceeded in death by his wife Linda Lee Dean Gay' his parents Boyd and Henry Gay, his brothers Elmer Gay, J W, Gay and David Gay, his sisters Janet Dresser, Mary Ann Eversole, and Wanda Faye Sheppard.
He is survived by his children: Tina Gay, Dale Gay and Lisa Gay Fisher and son-in-law Jack Fisher; 3 grandchildren: Brandon DeVeckx with wife Anna, Heather Deveckx, and Nathan Gay; and 1 great grandchild, Jaden DeVeckx.
Leslie had a lot of friends and a huge family. He loved to travel and visit family and friends and of course he loved to experience all the eating places along the way. Leslie had a great memory for old songs, who sang them , who wrote them, what movie the were in. He loved to play all the old songs when traveling. He often took one of his sisters with him on his trips to visit his kinfolks.
