Funeral services for Jacqueline Welch "Jackie" Price, 88 of Denmark, SC will be held eleven a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Bethel Park United Methodist Church, Denmark, SC with the Reverend Terry Roof officiating; burial will be in the Denmark Cemetery. The family will receive friends from five to seven p.m., Tuesday at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, SC. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mama's (Mary Ann Morris Animal Society), P.O. Box 1151, Bamberg, SC 29003, Denmark Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 387, Denmark SC 29042 or Bethel Park United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 207, Denmark, SC 29042. Pallbearers will be Tommy Branyon, Charles Breland, Kevin Rhoad, Reid Rucker, Haden Smith and James Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed and June Darnell, Newt and Peace Gaston, Johney and Roxie Haralson, C. B. and Gayle Hughes, John and Norma Jett, Angie Sease and Anne Still. Jackie passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016.

Born in Ehrhardt, SC she was the daughter of the late Virgil Owens Welch and Louise Freeman Welch and was married to the late Jackson Rice "Jack" Price, Sr. for 44 years. She was a member of Bethel Park United Methodist Church, was a graduate of Ehrhardt Public Schools and attended Winthrop College and the University of South Carolina. She was an educator having taught in St. Matthews, Lodge and Denmark Public Schools. Jackie also worked as the office manager of the Denmark Family Practice Clinic. She loved reading, enjoyed her cats, dogs, the beach and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Lou-Ann Price Carter of Denmark; son Jackson (Sherrie) Price, Jr. of Ehrhardt; grandchildren Michael (Natalie) Carter, Courtney Price Carter, Ashleigh Price (John Donahue), Chuck (Kaitlyn) Stillinger, Sarah Price, Jack R. Price, III; great grandchildren, Grayham and Emily Grace Carter, Kellie and Maddie Stillinger and sister-in-law Maxie Carter Welch. She was preceded in death by her brother Marshall Owens "Bud" Welch, Sr.
