William Vernon "Pop" Blades, Jr. age 89 of Lenoir City passed away Monday morning, November 7, 2016 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. Junior was retired from Power Equipment and Foothill Wrecker Service. He was an avid Nascar fan and former race car driver.
Preceded in death by his infant son, Ronald Frederick Blades; parents, William Blades, Sr. and Della Blades; brothers, Carl, Claudell and Jackie Blades, and sister, Frances Messix.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 10th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Mike Wankowski officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Friday morning and proceed to Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens for 11 a.m. graveside services.
