MILLAY - Robert C. "Bob," 78, beloved husband of Betty J. Millay, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2006. Born in Knottsville, KY, he was the son of the late Charles & Virgie Millay. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, receiving a Purple Heart. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #220. He retired from Armor Elevator and was also formerly employed by American Tobacco Company. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rose Mary Kampschaefer. Survivors other than his wife of 53 years include a daughter, Patricia Kampschaefer; son, Michael Millay (Janet); grandchildren, Amanda & Ashley Kampschaefer and Kennedy & Kramer Millay; great-granddaughter, Abbygail Napper; brothers, Francis, Thomas, Harold, Charles & Tony Millay; and sisters, Mary McCoy, Jane Payne and Linda Kellerman. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Helen Catholic Church, 4005 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Memorial contributions are suggested to Mass of the Air.
