Sulphur- Funeral services for Francis "Mac" Ancelet, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Tuessay, Jan. 9, from Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. The Rev. Lawrence Kohler will officiate. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation is 2-10 p.m. today, with a rosary at 7 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Ancelet died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan 6, 2001, in a local hospital.
He was a native of Kaplan and had lived in Sulphur for the past 60 years. He was a Wolrd War II veteran of the Pacific Theater, where he was disabled. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Sulphur and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Durlin Ancelet of Sulphur; one daughter, Annette Perkins of Sulphur; one brother, John Ray Ancelet of Sulphur; one sister, Annie Bruce of Sulphur; and three grandchildren.
