Gustave H. Borchardt
BRODHEAD — Gustave H. Borchardt, 76, died this morning at St. Clare Hospital, Monroe, after a week's illness.
He was born in Germany, Dec. 1, 1880, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Borchardt. He was a farmer in Decatur Township all his life. He married Clara Helland who died two years after the wedding.
In Feb. 28, 1911, he married Anna [Emma] Mae Baird, who died in 1955.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Brodhead.
Survivors are one son, Ben, Decatur Township; two grand-daughters; one brother, Amel, Brodhead; and one sister, Mrs. Emma Cowell, Brodhead.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Everson Funeral Home. The Rev. Burton Moore, pastor of the Albany Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening.
