Mrs. Gust Borchardt
BRODHEAD — Mrs. Gust Borchardt, 72, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Withee Nursing Home following a six months illness.
The former Emma Mae Baird, daughter of George and Fannie Classy [Klassy] Baird, was born June 22, 1883 in Sylvester Township. She was married to Mr. Borchardt on Feb 28, 1911, and they farmed in Decatur Township.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Ben, of Decatur Township; a brother, Parker K. Baird, Madison, and two granddaughters.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, in the Everson Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Boettcher officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Johnson, former local pastor. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 this evening.
