Daughter of: James Wade & Mahala Orndorff.

Wife of: John W. Saylor, married January 10, 1854, in Hardy County, West Virginia.

Mother of: Thomas C. & Anna Saylor.

------------------------------
The marriage to John Saylor was not successful or at least not conventional. The couple and their three children were living in Virginia in 1860, but by 1870 Isabelle and her children were back in Hardy County without her husband.

She moved to Ohio by the time of the 1880 U.S. Census and took her children with her. Other Orndorffs had settled in the area, as well, hopefully making it a bit easier raising her family in a one parent household.

Interesting that in the 1880 Census she was recorded as "widowed" as John Saylor was alive.
