Adela Moreno passed away at her home Monday afternoon, Oct. 31, 2016. She was born June 6, 1941, to Infante and Inez Gonzales in Brownsville, Texas. Adela married Pete in 1960 in Brownsville, Texas, and together they would raise seven children.
Adela was a stay-at-home mom who had a tremendous amount of love she shared to her children and later on shared to her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and let's not forget that bingo she played. She was a member at St. Joan of Arc in Kokomo for many years.
She is survived by children, Janie, Pete Jr. (DeeDee), Mario (Debbie), Jesse, JoAnn, Josie (Jason) McLain, Andrew (Sara); 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Adela was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A gathering of friends and family will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Keith Treadway officiating. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
