Chester Fuller Coffey, KY 501 South Liberty died Tuesday, June 24, 1997 at the Casey County Hospital. He was 81 years old.
Born in Casey County on Feb. 2, 1916, he was a son of he late Addison W. and Maude Walters Coffey.
He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service and a farmer. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Bruce's Chahpel Methodist Church. He was also a member of Antioch Lodge 424.
Surviors include his wife, Essie Gilpin Coffey; a son, William Fuller Coffey of Danville; a daughter, Betty Jean Spoonamore of Danville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Addison Coffey.
Funeral services were June 27 [1997] at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Robertson officiating. Burial was in Williams Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe Coffey, Jim Coffey, Jack Coffey, Roger Coffey, Jerel Coffey, Dudley Spoonamore and Scott Dicison.
Honorary pallbearers were Susan Storey, David Coffey, Jon Spoonamore and Holly Dickison.
