My Uncle Albert was my Daddy's youngest brother, we did not see much of each other as he lived in Florida and I in Michigan, but I wrote to him and thought about him a lot.
Uncle Albert served in,U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps. with a total of 20 yrs service, during war time and peace.
I remember when I was a very little child, I found my Uncle asleep on the couch in our home, and for a reason known only to a 4 yr old child, I bit him on his big toe, he jumped up off the couch, I thought I was doomed, he picked me up and gave me a big sloppy kiss and then the tickle torture.
He and his Wife my Aunt Cathy had 2 wonderful children, my cousin Shaun and Gregoric. Uncle Albert was met on the other side by his mother(who passed when he was very Young),his father(my Grandpa) Burley Udell, Brothers: George, Gordon(my daddy), Reginald and Sisters: Hazel Udell-St. John and Gloria Mattson, Nephews: Walter Udell(my brother) John Wilber, Niece: Rosalie Eaton, Great Nephew: Michael Strait and his beloved son Gregoric. It was at Greg's funeral that he suffered a heart attack and a stroke from which he never recovered.
He leaves to celbrate his life, his devoted wife Cathy and daughter Shaun and grand children, 2 Sisters Francis Sorenson and Dorothy Strait, and brother Garfield and several nieces and nephews.
Uncle Albert was a Proud American and served it well, he was also a wonderful father and to me a wonderful and unforgetable Uncle.
