Born in Blackshear, GA on February 16, 1942, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. Mrs. Brock had worked at Blackshear Apparel and later worked in collections with Accounts Recovery Systems in Waycross. She enjoyed sewing, canning fruits and vegetables, shopping on QVC, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Living River Church of God.
She was a daughter of the late Reppard & Miley Elizabeth Courson Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James A. Brock; a daughter, Wanda Sue Chancey; four sisters, Idell Cheshire, Allie Mae Crews, Mary Gulen, and Estelle Watts; and four brothers, Ralph Allen (Allen Hay Farm), Theldon Allen, Elmo Allen, and Elijah Allen.
Survivors include two daughters, Josephine Melton of Offerman and Lorrie Ann (Harley) Cranfill of Blackshear; a son, Monroe Crews of Blackshear; a son-in-law, Timmy Chancey of Jesup; two sisters, Ruth Aspinwall of Mayo, FL and Shirley Ann Robinson of Macon; a brother, Alfred (Teresa) Allen of Alma; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren with 2 on the way; and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
The family had a private memorial service.
Memorialization is by cremation.
