Elmo Allen, 84, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Interment: 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Arlington Funeral Home. Elmo was born Dec. 9, 1928, in Blackshear, Ga., to Reppard and Sarah Allen. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a master sergeant after 20 years of service. Survivors: Wife of 31 years, Diana Allen; daughters, Sharon Finley, Carol Busse and husband, Mike, and Demarise Slater and husband, John; son, Darold Dietrich and wife, Shelley; grandchildren, Peter Neathery and wife, Melissa, Justin Finley, Kayla Hulme, Ryan Finley and wife, Hailey, and Danielle Dietrich; great-grandchildren, Karsen Finley, Ledger Finley, Alexis Neathery, Lauren Neathery, Isabella Neathery, Dylan Neathery and one on the way.
