Mrs. Caroline Moenkemeier died at her late residence on Monday last. The late deceased had been in ill health for about a year, but had been able to go around within a few days prior to her demise. The deceased leaves surviving besides her husband, an only child, a son about six years old. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. J.S. Hertrich of Plato, where held at the Evangelical Lutheran church. The sympathy of many friends and neighbors will go out to the surviving husband and son in the loss of wife and mother.

I have placed this memorial in this cemetery solely because the Rev. J.S. Hertrich was the pastor of St. John’s from 1896 until 1910
