George Springsteen 09/05/2001 LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -- George G. Springsteen, Lake Havasu City, formerly of Davenport, died Aug. 31, 2001, at Havasu Regional Medical Center. Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, Lake Havasu City, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Springsteen was employed for 40 years as a professional floor installer. He was born Sept. 16, 1936, in Davenport. He served four years in the Coast Guard and then served in the Marine Corps from 1966 to 1985, both on active duty and in the reserves. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the George Springsteen Memorial Fund, in care of Karen Moericke, 2381 Kiowa Blvd. N., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. Survivors include daughters, Karen Moericke, Lake Havasu City, and Cheryl Griffin, Abington, Mass.; four grandchildren; sisters, Harriett Mooney and Marriett Snyder, both of Davenport, Georgia Warren, Long Grove, Iowa, Myra Canezaro, Glendale Heights, Ill., and Fern Salvadore, Castro Valley, Calif.; a brother, Jim, Duluth, Minn.; and his niece, Kathy Hartman, and her husband, Andy, who was his caregiver.
