Ellen L. Grass, 78, Davenport, died Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at El Bethel Assembly of God, Davenport, where she was a member. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. today at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the church.

The former Ellen Springsteen was born May 13, 1916, in Des Moines, the daughter of Cecil and Lydia Phillips Springsteen. She married Clayton Grass, in Burlington, Iowa.

She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed yard work and flowers.

Survivors include the widow; sisters, Fern Salvador, in California, Harriet Moomy and Marriett Snyder, both of Davenport, Georgia Warren, Long Grove, Iowa, and Myra Canezaro, Glendale Heights, Ill.; brothers, Roy Springsteen, in Oklahoma, Howard Springsteen, Milan, Richard and George Springsteen, both of Davenport, and Jim Springsteen, Big Lake, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
