Clarence E. Beachy, 93, of Confluence, passed away October 25, 2016 at The Patriot in Somerset. He was born January 14, 1923 in Fort Hill, a son of Urner and Annie (McClintock) Beachy. His parents, wife, Permelia (Whaley), sister, Edith Hetrick and brothers, Raymond, Glenn, Galen and Warren preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, Terry, Connellsvile and Douglas, Confluence and a daughter, Tina Howard and husband, James, Chillicothe, Ohio; 2 granddaughters, Julie Grimm and husband, Loren, Bear Rocks, and Leanna Ater and husband, Brock, Chillicothe and 2 great grandchildren, Carly and Jeffrey Grimm. Clarence was retired from General Refractories in Fort Hill after 42 years employment. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and a member of Ursina American Legion Post 946 and Laurel Mountain Chapel, Trent. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where a service will be held at 11 AM Friday with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment in Addison Cemetery. Viewing Friday one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Humbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Confluence.
