Military: Pvt. Co.E 39th reg Ga. vol. Inf. C.S.A. Entered the war Mar. 4,1862. Captured near Chickamauga Sept. 18, 1863. Sent to Miiltary prison Louisville, Ky Oct.1, 1863. Forwarded to Camp Douglas, Il. Oct 1863. Discharged May 16, 1865. Purchased property Walker Co, Ga. homesite 1869.

One day something spooked his horse and overturned the buggy he was driving. Sold a parcel of his property to pay for his injuries. Later years he died from these injuries.
