James, Manahan, 86, died. Burial in Woodriver cemetery. He was the son of James and Ellen Manahan, born October 21, 1865 in Sims. He married Ida Jane Harlan in 1897. They had nine children. She died July 1941. He leaves two daughters, Lulu Shehorn of Johnsonville and Mrs. Dennis [Dessie] Lowe of E. Alton and six sons, Carroll of East Alton, Edward of Fairfield, Clayton of Johnsonville, Hugh of Hartford, Floyd and Lewis of Johnsonville and one brother, Fred, of Wayne City.
